| April 17th, week zero, seeds just planted. | |
| April 23rd, week one, many of the seeds have sprouted. | |
| April 30th, three days ago the water was low in all of the plants so this was my opportunity to do the first fertlizer watering. I diluted by half the formula of balanced water soluable fertilizer and filled all of the containers. This photo was taken April 30th and is from my new basement grow-light station. I'm not sure what the deal is with the black tips, but otherwise it looks healthy. | |
| May 13th, week 4, the chives are doing really well, I will be hardening them off next week and will have them planted outdoors soon thereafter. | |
| June 3rd, week 7, the chives have been outside for about a week, they will soon be transplanted to their permanent home. I put them in a place that gets about an hour of direct sun per day. | |
| June 15th, week 9, sometime in the last ten days I replanted the chives into a planter on the deck, here it is in this photo, the last update on this page since the chives are perrenial. | |
| July 21st, week 14, why not add another photo of how they are doing? Looks like I need to de-weed them a little. | |
